About this whisky
- Malt type: Single Malt
- Region: Scotland
The Ben Wyvis distillery was closed down in 1976, just 11 years after it had opened as part of Whyte & Mackay`s Invergordon complex. This 37-year-old single malt is probably the very last bottling from one of the shortest-lived distilleries in Scotland. On the nose, honeyed notes, herbs and beeswax emerge from the glass, with hints of menthol and rosewater. The palate is rich, dominated by barley sweetness and a dash of oak and more herbs. A true collector`s item.
