A Bruichladdich (pronounced as “brook – laddie”) 10 year old private cask, bottled under the name “Claggain Bay” from cask #3712. Matured in bourbon barrel for 3650 days before being bottled at 61.6%. Bruichladdich Distillery is on the Rhines of the isle of Islay, Scotland. The distillery produces single malt scotch whisky mostly, but also offered artisan gin. Owned by Rémy Cointreau after being owned by Mark Reyneir. The Gaelic word ‘Bruichladdich’ can be interpreted as “stony shore bank”, referring back to a post-glacial raised beach, though there is an alternative translation, perhaps more pertinent of “rocky lee shore”.
