Caol Ila 13 Year Old 2008 (cask 4031313) – The Octave (Duncan Taylor)

From Duncan Taylor’s The Octave indie bottling series, which sees whiskies finished in small octave casks, comes a cracking Caol Ila single malt. It was distilled in 2008, and matured for 13 years, including three months in the aforementioned octave cask. Eventually, in 2021, it was bottled up at cask strength, with an outturn of just 90 bottles.
