This 32-year-old Caol Ila forms part of the Kinship 2022 series, released by independent bottlers Hunter Laing. An elemental nose of peat smoke, malt and oak, developing into a glowing peat fire, pastry dough, clove and green olives. Juicy on the palate with oily peat, marmalade, almonds and sweet leather notes. This Caol Ila has been bottled from a refill bourbon hogshead at its natural cask strength of 48.1% ABV with no colouring or chill filtration.
