Glen Garioch 1958 46 Year Old

Glen Garioch is a distillery with a comparatively low profile, and quality has varied over its lifetime under a succession of different owners – but real aficionados will tell you that the older expressions are some of the best malts in Scotland. This is a whisky with fruit and floral notes, but also, crucially, some restrained peat in the old Highland style. An exercise in sophistication, with a complexity few distilleries can match.
