About this whisky
- Region: Scotland
Glen Garioch was founded in 1797, making it one of Scotland`s oldest distilleries still in production. As an official Italian distributor for Glen Garioch, Silvano Samaroli had great access to top quality casks, which is demonstrated in this bottle from 1971. The nose is very complex, revealing burning wood and smoke. The taste is intense, characterized by coffee notes, toffee, baked apples, peaches and berries. The finish is long, with subtle peat and notes of charred tropical fruits.
