Glendronach 2008 SMWS 96.29 ‘Warm, fuzzy, effulgent feelings’

The SMWS (Scotch Malt Whisky Society) is a members club and a key institution in promoting single malt scotch whiskies both in the UK and abroad, and as such, they are also big in bottling their own casks for members only like this one from the Glendronach distillery. Recommended with a dab of water the aromas of lemon and red berries with an undertone of nuts, the palate keeps the red berries and citrus alive but adds some white pepper and oak into a medium to a long finish with pepper and oak and also some anise.
