A superb cask strength release from Glenfarclas which is something of a hidden secret among whisky connoisseurs. Bottled at 60% ABV (or 105 proof in British proof), this non-age-statement dram is a blend of ex-Sherry and ex-Bourbon barrel aged spirit. The result is a rich, full bodied whisky with a superb balance of baked fruit, vanilla pastry, lightly toasted nuts and subtle spice. Add a dash of water of open things up, or simply serve neat and enjoy the fireworks!
