Karuizawa 28 Year Old Cask 7524 1983

This is a superb single cask malt, obtained from the silent distillery Karuizawa. The whisky was distilled in 1983, then matured for 28 years until bottling in October 2011. The nose is fragrant and fruity, with hints of cocoa and spices. The palate has a pronounced sweet and nutty character, with woody notes and some chocolate too. A very pleasant, easy-to-drink dram.
