The legendary Karuizawa distillery was shut down in 2000 and the remaining stocks were thankfully ?saved? by Ichiro Akuto. This Karuizawa single cask whisky was distilled in 1984 and matured for 30 years until bottling in 2015 at a natural cask strength of 61.1% ABV. Only 322 bottles were released.
