A legend of the whisky world, the Karuizawa distillery was opened in 1955 in Miyota, Japan, and sadly shut down in 2001. In 2011, the UK-based company Number One Drinks purchased the remaining stocks of Karuizawa?s whisky. Ten casks were bottled in 2014 and 2015, each with a different Samurai depicted on the label, including this 30-year-old dram. Only 508 bottles were released at the time.
