Part of Diageo?s Classic Malts, Lagavulin is the ultimate Islay single malt, which tend to be rich and smoky. This 12-year-old expression is a limited release, bottled in 2002 at cask strength of 58% ABV. The nose is well-balanced and adulating, with notes of seaweed, wet wood and barley. The palate reveals savoury flavours of salt and pepper, followed by hazelnuts and dark chocolate.
