About this whisky
- Malt type: Single Malt
- Region: Speyside
This is the oldest ever Macallan single malt to be released. An exceptionally rare and limited release, which celebrates a seminal moment in the distillery?s history. inspired by the new Distillery and Visitor Experience, this very special edition honours a new dawn for The Macallan. Distilled in the 1940s, this peerless spirit began its journey to maturation during the post Second World War period. A gentle wood spice combines with a delicate peat smoke, which gradually fades to leave a viscous mouth coating of citrus fruits and subtle green apples. An absolutely extraordinary dram, presented in the most luxurious bottle.
