This vintage Macallan was distilled in 1959 in sherry wood and bottled independently by Gordon & MacPhail. The nose displays aromas of old cellars, with some cigar leaves, walnuts and spearmint, plus hints of orange liqueur and raisins. The palate is packed with toffee, liquorice and some mentholated notes. There are also notes of tobacco and toasted bread. The whisky finishes on a dark chocolate note.
