Mackmyra Moment Virvelvind

The 36th and final release in Swedish distillery Mackmyra’s Moment series, Virvelvind is inspired by the very first release in the series ? Medvind. Using the same combination of first-fill bourbon, peated first-fill bourbon, second-fill oloroso sherry and virgin Swedish oak casks, filled in 2007 and 2010, it has been matured for longer than the original, creating a softly smoky, fruity character. Aromas of pears, red apples, orange, vanilla, muscovado sugar and soft smoke fill the nose, complemented by notes of vanilla fudge, juicy pear, bitter orange, juniper, lime, tobacco and sweet peat smoke throughout the palate.
