About this whisky
- Cask type: First-fill Sherry Puncheon
- Malt type: Single Malt
- Region: Speyside
A 1949 Milton single malt from independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail that has been matured in a single first-fill sherry puncheon for 72 years before being bottled as part of its Private Collection. This is the oldest and last-ever single malt from Gordon & MacPhail to carry the Milton Distillery name. Aromas of Seville orange, vanilla pods, stewed blackberries, lemon zest and festive baking spices fill the nose, complemented by notes of butterscotch, orange, nutmeg, baked apple, poached pear, honey, toffee and wisps of soft smoke throughout the palate.
