Octomore 2009 10 Year Old Fourth Edition

The fourth edition of the much sought-after Octomore 10 Year Old, this time distilled back in 2009. Peated to an impressive 208ppm, it was aged in a mix of first- and second-fill American oak, and virgin oak casks, and has been bottled at cask-strength with no chill-filtration or added colour. It’s a comparatively elegant Octomore, with 10 years in wood rounding the edges off the fearsomely smoky spirit, and exposing its gentler ? but still intense ? side.
