Port Ellen 36 Year Old Eidolon Hunter Laing 1983

A single malt distilled at Port Ellen in 1983, the same year that the distillery closed. The whisky has been matured for 36 years and was bottled independently by Hunter Laing in 2019, for its Eidolon series. You?ll find plenty of sherry on the nose, as well as citrus notes and a touch of smoke. The palate is elegant, evoking more citrus fruits like grapefruit and lime, all wrapped by well-integrated peat.
