Secret Orkney ‘Skara Brae’ 2005 16 Year Old The Cooper’s Choice

A 2005 Skara Brae single malt from independent bottler The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. that was made at a secret Orkney distillery and matured in a single ex-bourbon cask for 16 years, before being bottled in 2022 as part of its Cooper’s Choice series. Aromas of heather honey, soft smoke, orange and lemon zest, and rolled oats fill the nose, complemented by notes of crunchy biscuits, malt, clove-studded oranges, sea salt, star anise and lingering smoke throughout the palate.
