Supremely sippable single grain Scotch whisky here from Spearhead, produced at the Loch Lomond Distillery! There’s some really rather interesting stuff going on with this one ? it’s a single grain made with 100% malted barley and given a rather long fermentation time, before being distilled in a Coffey still, and then matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Before bottling, it’s given a six month finishing period in a combination of traditionally toasted and infrared toasted barrels. Well worth checking out, this one!
