Talisker Distiller’s Edition 2011

Richer than the regular Talisker as a result of the double cask maturing, this Distillers Edition single malt spent a finishing period in ex-Amoroso sherry casks which adds luscious fruit notes to the dry peaty background, with typical Talisker pepperiness. The palate is sweet to start, with smoke and tar abruptly exploding around the middle of the mouth. Sweet-centred like liqueur chocolate.
