This right here is a limited edition release from County Donegal’s Sliabh Liag Distillers, introducing a helping of fruity deliciousness to its Silkie Irish Whiskey. The Legendary Red Silkie once again features a combination of peaty malt whiskeys and creamy grain whiskey, but this time it has been finished in Spanish red wine casks. If you’re a bit of a wine buff and want to know what type of casks specifically, it was Rioja and Ribera del Duero red wine casks. Bold and flavoursome, packing plenty of summer berry notes, juxtaposed by smoky richness.
